Minutes note: Chief of Police Alfonso Morales was demoted to the position of Captain, the previous position he held before he was appointed Chief of Police. A motion was made by Commissioner Angela McKenzie, seconded by Commissioner Everett Cocroft to appoint current Assistant Chief of Police Michael J. Brunson as Acting Chief of Police. A roll call vote was taken and is the following: Commissioner Everett Cocroft - Aye Commissioner Fred Crouther - Aye Commissioner Angela McKenzie - Aye Commissioner Raymond Robakowski - Aye Commissioner Nelson Soler - Aye Commissioner Anna Wilson - Aye Chairman Steven DeVougas - Aye Acting Chief Brunson is to provide a new command staff structure within two weeks from this meeting date, August 6, 2020, to the Fire and Police Commission next Special Meeting in the month of August.

Minutes note: A motion made by Chairman Steven DeVougas to nominate Commissioner Nelson Soler for Chairman of the board of the Fire and Police Commission. Commissioner Soler accepted the nomination for Chairman of the board of the Fire and Police Commission. A motion was made by Commissioner Anna Wilson to move the nominations to a close, seconded by Commissioner Everett Cocroft. Silent ballots were taken. The vote was unanimous. Commissioner Nelson Soler is now Chairman of the Fire and Police Commission Board. A motion was made by Chairman Steven DeVougas, seconded by Commissioner Anna Wilson to nominate Commissioner Angela McKenzie for Vice-Chair of the board of the Fire and Police Commission.
