Minutes note: Ms. Witte stated DPW is responsible for maintaining the city art inventory in certain buildings. Ms. Morris stated it would be useful to sort the inventory into things that need to be rematted and reframed and things that require conservation. She added that pieces that are in public view should be prioritzed first. Ms. Witte stated she will re-sort the list by value and then by location. Ms. Morris stated a grad student might be able to assist with the project. Ms. Witte stated there may be money available from City departments to match the conservation of the Reynaldo Hernandez mural and portrait of Solomon Juneau. Ms. Morris stated if the artist is alive they may be available to restore their pieces themselves. | | | |
