Minutes note: Ald. Rainey stated that there are large amounts of remnants from car accidents left on the street for a long period of time. He asked if there is current correlation between the police and DPW on car accidents. Jeffrey Smith - DPW stated that there is a "286" number available to call and they will respond the next day. He stated that currently, there is no correlation between the police department and DPW about car accidents and that it would be helpful to expedite the response time for cleaning remnants of accidents. Ald. Bohl stated that it would be helpful to create a system automatically notify DPW when an accident occurs without placing the responsibility on the responding officer(s). Ald. Bohl moved to moved to Hold to Call of the Chair. (Prevailed 5-0)

Minutes note: Paul Vornholt - Port Milwaukee stated that he invites those interested in a site visit. He stated that the studies and plans can be requested at any time. Richard Seawall - U.S. Venture, Inc. stated that he don't understand why it is important to expose their private plans. Individuals present in opposition: Eric Hansen, Citizens Acting for Rail Safety, stated that there are several changes to the original plan and asked what is the City's vision for the project. He stated that the Port represents the clean strategies by citizens. Cheryl Nenn asked where she can access these studies and plans. She stated that she has concerns about safety and transport of these products through the city. Ald. Borkowski stated that certain questions by Mr. Hansen need to be addressed at a later time. Ald. Bauman stated that several studies and plans were prepared showing the goals of the project. Ald. Kovac stated that the new amended lease addresses the issues brought forth by the Committee in the past.
