Minutes note: Deputy City Attorney Adam Stephens requested that this item be held because the current draft is vague and a legal opinion would be required. It is unique because it is putting up signs in the public right of way with public funds. Ald. Witkowski stated this ordinance would allow the DPW Commissioner to post signs, decorations, and items that already exist such as holiday decorations. The concern is mainly for panhandlers who hang out at intersections and approach stopped cars.
