Minutes note: Alderman Nardelli moved to dispense with the reading of the veto message. Prevailed. President Pratt asked the question "Shall the ordinance be passed notwithstanding the objections of His Honorable Mayor? An aye vote overrides the Mayor's veto and a no vote sustains the veto. The Mayor's veto was sustained. (2/3 vote: 12 ayes, were needed to overide said veto) Alderman Nardelli questioned whether the vote was properly announced. Alderman Nardelli moved for a recess for the Clerk's staff to listen to the audio tape. Prevailed. Recess: 10:30 A.M. Reconvened: 10:35 A.M. President Pratt ruled that the vote was properly announced.
