The customer took money that did not belong to her and the applicant ran outside and confronted the customer at her car. The police came later and gave him a disorderly conduct ticket.
Assistant City Attorney Tom Miller asks what the item was that resulted in the drug paraphernalia charge. Mr. Rizvi said that it was the "rose in plastic tube" product. He says he was unaware that that product was considered by police as drug paraphernalia when sold in convenience stores and gas stations and illegal.
Ald. Bauman said that the Health Department sent the applicant a letter saying that his food license was void. He also says that he would most likely object to the license if the applicant was not the nephew of Jay Walia, a well-known operator of gas stations who is also the owner of the property.

She is appearing on behalf of the parish and the pastor was unable to attend.
Mr. Heinemeier says he moved out of the neighborhood due to a home invasion after which his family didn't fee safe.

Lara Williams, 509A S. 70th St., previously lived in the area six blocks away from the establishment. She never felt threatened at the establishment and is in support of the applicant.
Cavonna Assigbley, 3810 S. 84th st. B-1, previously lived at 39th and Sheridan. She used to visit Terry Lee's and supports the re-opening.
Ald. Murphy asks Ms. Assigbley if the she knows a woman was hit in the head with a pool cue at the location. She says that she was unaware of it but believes that when it did happen the owners probably addressed the problem.
Regina Henderson, 5520 W. Center, Apt. W, lives in the area. She lives above a church in the area and doesn't see a problem with the establishment if the location closes at 10:00 p.m. Is a tenant of Mr. Heinemeier.
William Hericks, on S. 68th St., patronized Terry Lee's in the past and used to watch sporting events at the location without any problems.
Justine Williams, 2215 A N. 40th St., supports the bar being re-opened.
Phillip Smith, 5164 N. Sherman Blvd., supports the bar and used to patronized the location with no problems. He says sometimes what goes on outside cannot be controlled.
Therese Halaska-Hunn, Germantown, is in support of the bar. Used to run the karaoke show and never had any problems.
Linda Farrington, 5514 W. Center #2, is in support of the bar and would like a place to walk to after work to get a drink. Is a tenant of Mr. Heinemeier.
Quenna Brown, 5559 N. 38th St., has been to the establishment previously and never had problems. She thinks the applicant has complete control of the establishment.
Kevin Culver, 2525 S. Howell Ave. #2, says he thinks Mr. Heinemeier has made improvements to his establishment on Silver Spring Dr. and thinks that the same will be done at the Center St. location.
Mr. Heinemeier says he is just looking for a second chance. He says the problems he had started in 2003 after no previous problems renewing the license. The applicant started closing the bar at 10:00 p.m. without being asked to do so.
Atty. Miller clarifies that the previous denial was based on the police report and non-appearance.
Mr. Heinemeier says he addressed the problems that happened after the clientele changed to a different crowd. He also says he listened to neighbors' concerns about safety.
Ald. Murphy says he held a neighborhood meeting with 26 neighbors attending, and 20 people were opposed to the establishment opening up. He says that during a month between two violent incidents, there was no change at the establishment and that the applicant has not made any move to improve the neighborhood. Ald.
