Out of 1448 responses, got 1296 verified city residents with 906 respondents supporting the change and 329 wanting to retain the current flag.

Ald. Mark Chambers, Jr. appeared and had fiscal, equity, design, and consensus concerns on the proposed city flag. A number of committee members shared the same sentiment.
Ald. Sharlen Moore and a number of committee members want finality on this matter and do not want to spend more time or resources for further deliberation or to restart the process.
Amber Danyus said that the Mayor did not have an official position on the matter.
