| 0 | 3. | Motion | Motion relating to the recommendations of the Licenses Committee relating to licenses.
Minutes note: Common Council File Number 251331 contains the following recommendations:
Nonrenewal of the Class B Tavern, Public Entertainment Premises and Food Dealer licenses for Angel Gutierrez Garnica, based upon the preponderance of the evidence in the
police report and aldermanic testimony that demonstrates the operations results in a threat to health, safety or welfare of the public for the failure to comply with the approved plan of operations, for the premises located at 2106 W NATIONAL Av. (“EL JALAPENO RESTAURANT LLC”) in the 8th aldermanic district.
Nonrenewal of the Extended Hours Establishments, Filling Station, Food Dealer and Weights & Measures licenses for Satwinder Singh, based upon third nonappearance for the premises located at 8661 W BROWN DEER Rd. (“BP PANTRY 41 #86”) in the 9th aldermanic district.
The question was put:
Have the members of the Common Council have read the committee
recommendations report filed in this matter?
All members present indicated they had read the report.
Atty. Maistelman appeared on behalf Angel Gutierrez Garnica ("Jalapeno Loco LLC") and explained that after the 12/02/25 hearing, he reached out to Ald. Zamarripa to talk about her concerns and committed to amend the hours of operations (8AM-10PM Sun-Thu and 8AM-11 Fri-Sat).
Ald. Zamarripa mentioned that the amendment is part of the file now and moved renewal with a 90 day suspension. There were no objections.
The question was put:
Are there any motions relative to this matter?
Hearing no motions made, a vote of those Council members present to approve the
recommendations of the Licenses Committee as contained in File Number 251331 was called.
