Mr. Latsko presented. Staff recommended approval.
This resolution vacates the above public right-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by Donald P Gallo to accommodate expansion of the existing business.
Mr. Lindstedt said his company has been in a long standing business (77 years) in the Haymarket area providing employment (83 currently) and benefits to local residents, the alley vacation would allow them to expand and connect their existing adjacent buildings over the alley, and the expansion would produce 12-15 additional jobs.
Commissioner Washington moved approval, seconded by commissioner Smith. (Prevailed 6-0) | RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION AND ASSIGNED | Pass | 6:0 |
