Zamarripa moved to reduce the suspension for "Legends Towing at 3950 N Holton St from 30 (thirty) to 15 (fifteen) days after conferring with some members. Ald. Coggs asked to be recorded as an abstention to this matter. Ald. Chambers asked if the local alderwoman recommended approval with a warning letter. Ald. Coggs said that she was not present at the meeting, that she believes her assistant did that recommendation to the committee and that she respects the committee's decision because she was not there to hear all the testimony given. Ald. Spiker said that for clarification purposes, the committee voted 5-0 to renewal with a 30 day suspension after reading all the police report and hearing all the testimony. Ald. Coggs said that the 30 day suspension is a bit harsh solution and asked Ald. Zamarripa to find a less harsh solution. Ald. Zamarripa's motion prevailed (11-3-1).
