The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of Proceedings for the regular meeting of May 31, 2023? There being none, the minutes of the meetings were approved without objection. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day at City Hall, hosted by Ald. Coggs, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority sisters in attendance were recognized. Ald. Zamarripa moved that the Common Council resolved itself into Committee of the Whole for making presentations. The report and recommendations for the Nonrenewal of the Parking Lot license based upon the preponderance in the police report that demonstrates the operation results in a threat to health, safety or welfare of the public and the aldermanic testimony; for the premises located at 701 W St. Paul Av. ("Interstate Parking Company # 1148") in the 4th aldermanic district was not before the Common Council. All members of the Common Council indicated reading the report and recommendations of the Licenses Committee and the exceptions filed under this matter. Ald. Coggs moved that the Common Council resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purposes of hearing oral arguments on behalf of the complainant or the licenses in opposition to the report and recommendation and then a statement by the City Attorney. There were no objections. The question was put: Are any of the following or their counsels present and, if so, do they wish to address the Common Council: Davinderjit Kaur? Davinder Kaur indicated her legal counsel, not yet present, was to address the Common Council. Ald. Coggs moved that the committee now rises. There were no objections. Ald.
