| 0 | 1. | Communication | Training on Wisconsin’s Open Meeting Law
Minutes note: Peter Block, Assistant City Attorney, presented the attached information to the Executive Search Committee, providing information regarding Open Meetings for Committee members who might not have previously been on a governmental body.
Ken Barbeau, HACM’s Interim Secretary-Executive Director, explained that after an initial meeting, it became clearer what the structure of the group would look like and the duties and input about the process that members might be involved with, and the strong recommendation was made by HACM’s counsel that this be constituted as a formal committee with a defined resolution approved by the Board of Commissioners. Chair Hayslett noted that it is critical that the committee remain compliant and transparent – that was the promise made to residents and the organization. Vice Chair Gotzler shared her disappointment that such a structure she felt resulted in the departure of one potential member. | | | |
