To make the language related to the City's participants in the preparation of such a contract more explicit -that the appropriate City officials, including but not limited to the Fire Chief, City Attorney, Commissioner of Health, Comptroller and Director of Administration, are authorized to represent the City's best interests and desired outcomes in the terms and conditions of this contract. 2. To make the language related to Common Council approval of any such contract more explicit-to provide that any contract negotiated with private ambulance providers shall require approval by the Common Council prior to its execution and implementation. Motion by Ald. Puente to accept Proposed substitute (A). Prevailed. 5-0. According to Chief Wendtlandt of the Milwaukee Fire Department, the purpose of this resolution is to develop documentation in collabration with all interested parties, that would indentify one clear point that would be adhered to by all entities. He also commented that changes to fee structures would not be included in this contract, but addressed separately.
