| 1 | 1. | Resolution | Substitute resolution authorizing the appropriate City offices to create Wisconsin Department of Revenue Tax Refund Intercept Program accounts on behalf of City-certified third-party ambulance service providers.
Minutes note: Appearing:
Grant Langley - CA
LaKeisha Butler - ACA
Martin Matson - Comptroller
Mr. Langley recommend adoption of first resolution with following conditions:
that ambulance service providers copy the city, electronically with any information they provide to the Department of Revenue under the TRIP Program, that providers provide to the city any information regarding collection rates they receive under the TRIP program, giving capability to audit any submitted documentation and/or collections, if need be, and that council authorizes someone from the Fire Department to provide the necessary information to the Department of Revenue.
Mr. Langley also mentioned that current contract terminates December 31, 2017.
City Attorney's Office is ready to include following points in negotiation for next year's contract: to consider wether or not some city positions should be included in the negotiations in respect to the TRIP program and sequencing of submission of matters to the Department of Revenue, so the city can be certified first in submitting debt for collection.
Ald. Witkowski moved to direct the City Attorney to include in contracts negotiations that the ambulance service providers submit thier TRIP application after January 15 each year and delete existing debt and resubmit after January 15 each year.
Ald. Witkowski moved adoption of this file as amended
