     6. Old Business a. Sustaining Grant Program Update

Minutes note: The 2025 sustaining grant review panel met virtually on April 25, 2025. Six members were new to the panel this year. One was a Milwaukee Arts Board member. All eight panelists completed Conflict of Interest forms prior to this session. The full panel had time to discuss each application, submit their final scores and comments for each application after the panel session. Finally, individual panelist scores for each application were weighted based on the values assigned by the Sustaining Grant Application Subcommittee, then the weighted scores were averaged for each organization and then the average scores were ranked. This year the Milwaukee Arts Board received 63 complete applications, 62 of which were deemed complete and eligible for consideration. There were 4 first-time applicants in this year’s applicant pool. A total of 47 organizations are recommended for funding – one at $3,000 and 45 at $6,000 and one at $3,600 (based on the projected income for the current fiscal year and available funding) – for a total of $276,600.
