R13697 04.CommunicationDiscussion Regarding Rating and Ranking of Candidates and Determination of the First Group of Candidates to be Interviewed

Minutes note: Stan Quy of The Organizational Leadership Edge (TOLE) provided his updated scoring sheet of candidates. The Committee discussed a desire to develop a list of five or six candidates, as a good size for the initial round of interviews. After a short discussion about the manner of determining the pool of first round candidates, it was settled that the Members would each share their top six candidates, in no particular order, and see if a cohesive grouping would emerge. After each of the five Committee Members provided their top six candidates, a total of five candidates appeared on a majority of Committee Members’ lists, and it was agreed that at this time those five would proceed to the first round of interviews. Committee Member Bryant pointed out one incorrect score on Mr. Quy’s scores and provided feedback about the suggested scoring criteria, wondering if the lowness of the scores overall that Stan shared might be emblematic of something within the scoring system needing adjustment.
