Ofc. Lesniewski says that that the Police Department is not making a formal objection to the license. In support: Naomi Cayce, 5529 W. North Ave, is in support of the license as she has not witnessed any problem activity at the bar. Elizabeth Gretz, 2441 N. 59th St., bartender at the bar, is in support of the license as she has not witnessed any problem activity at the bar. Davis Zimmerman, 1387 Hiawatha Dr., Appleton, WI, is a contractor who works at the bar and says that he has not witnessed any problems at the establishment. James Tyler, 2141 N. 56th St., owns a business at 5701 W. North Ave., says that he does not see any problem activity at the tavern. Garrett Bennett, P.O. Box 250523, 53223, manager at the establishment, is in support of the license as he has not witnessed any problem activity at the bar. Steven Koetzer, 5503 W North Ave, is in support of the license as he has not witnessed any problem activity at the bar. Angela Dorsey, 2513 N 15th St., is in support of the license as she has not witnessed any problem activity at the bar. Atty. Arena says that he is in objection to the police department's testimony as the applicant is not required to be at the establishment at all times and objects to the testimony because it is not the result of personal knowledge. Ald. Bohl supports the objection based on hearsay and requests the testimony be stricken from the record. Atty. Stephens says that if the testimony should be stricken from the record, it must be based on rules against hearsay. Ofc. Lesniewski also testifies that he personally witnessed, during a tavern premise check, an unlicensed bartender behind the bar, evidence of off-site food preparation, and evidence of refilling of bottles.
