Body
Whereas, Plaintiffs, Tervel Ezell and his mother, Serena Ezell have filed a civil rights lawsuit against Jeffrey Maio and the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The parties have entered into a Settlement Agreement, to settle the above-referenced lawsuit for a total amount of $10,000.00; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this lawsuit; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $10,000.00, payable to the order of Tervel Ezell, Serena Ezell and the Trust Account for the Bornstein Law Offices, S.C., as soon as practicable, said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 0001-1490-S118-006300; and, be it
Further Resolved, That for and in consideration of the above-referenced payments, the claimants, by their representatives, and their attorneys, will provide to the City a release of any and all claims arising out of or in any way related to this incident.
