Body
Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee of the Common Council has recommended the following position on the bills hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby opposes the following legislative bills and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to oppose these bills and use its best endeavors to have them not enacted into law, viz:
 
-SB-83 various changes to the eminent domain laws.
-SB-150 Division of municipalities into wards and redistricting of supervisory and aldermanic districts and appointing a panel to hear challenges to the apportionment of a congressional or legislative district, and hearing certain appeals.
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby approves the following legislative bill and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to support such bill and use its best endeavors to have the same enacted into law, viz:
 
-SB-125/AB-180 Liability of cities, villages, towns, and counties for damages caused by an insufficiency or want of repair of a highway.  
 
; and, be it
 
Further resolved, that the Common Council takes no position with respect to SB-148 Legislative redistricting and -SB 149 Congressional redistricting to the Redistricting discussion.
