Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. The City cost of the projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $3,715,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $3,928,000.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
1st Aldermanic District
Area bounded by W. Hampton Ave., W. Villard Ave., N. Green Bay Ave., and N. 21st St. (#4) (SM494100106) File Number 100960: Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $535,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $550,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
2nd and 5th Aldermanic Districts
Area bounded by W. Capitol Dr., W. Congress St., N. 68th St., and N. 76th St. (#5) (SM494100109) File Number 100960: Sanitary sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $682,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $697,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
3rd Aldermanic District

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
