Title

Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Administration, Police Department

Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Part I, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 100413 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under Salary Grade 08, add the footnote designation “4/” after the title “Fiscal Planning Specialist” and add footnote “4/” to read as follows: “For one position in the Budget and Management Division of the Department of Administration recruitment is authorized up to a maximum rate of 72.22% of the range associated with Salary Grade 08.”

Under Salary Grade 012, delete the title “Inspector of Police”.

Under Salary Grade 014, add the title “Inspector of Police 3/”, and add footnote “3/” to read as follows: “3/ Current and future appointments to be at 3% above the maximum rate of pay of Deputy Inspector at the discretion of the Chief, subject to approval from the Chair of Finance and Personnel and the Employee Relations Director. Under no circumstance will the appointment rate exceed the maximum rate of pay of Salary Grade 014.”

Under Salary Grade 016, add footnote designation “6/” after the title “Assistant Chief of Police” and add footnote “6/” to read as follows: “6/ Current and future appointments to be at 3% above the maximum rate of pay of Inspector at the discretion of the Chief, subject to approval from the Chair of Finance and Personnel and the Employee Relations Director. Under no circumstance will the appointment rate exceed the maximum rate of pay of Salary Grade 016.”

Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
