Title
A substitute ordinance relating to the change in zoning from Detailed Planned Development to Institutional, to allow for university-related uses, on land located on the south side of East Newport Avenue, west of North Maryland Avenue, in the 3rd Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This zoning change was requested by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and will change the zoning of the former Columbia Hospital to Institutional zoning, which is consistent with the zoning of the adjacent university campus.
Body
Resolved, That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:
Section 295-905(2)(c).0003. The zoning map is amended to change the zoning for 2015 East Newport Avenue, Tax Key No. 279-0397-111, from Detailed Planned Development (DPD) to Institutional (TL).
