Analysis

This resolution amends Common Council File #100154 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant from the State of Wisconsin-Department of Health Services. The project will provide screening and lifestyle interventions to women ages 35 - 64 who are eligible for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program (Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Program). 

Body

Whereas, Common Council File #100154 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the 2010-11 Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.  This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $424,555; and

 

Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $40,000; and

 

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant changes as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2011 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amount for the project titled Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant:
