Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $1,140,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $4,034,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $1,140,000 with the total cost estimated to be $4,034,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
3rd Aldermanic District
N. Cambridge Ave. - E. Brady St. to N. Oakland Ave. (WT410110025): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $165,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
N. Oakland Ave. - E. Royall Pl. to E. Windsor Pl. (WT410110026): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $15,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $475,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

N. Jackson St. - E. Clybourn St. to a point north of E. Clybourn St. (ST211110173): Median revision. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $5,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $25,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
N. 25th St. - W. St. Paul Ave. to W. Clybourn St. (WT410091015): Relaying water main and lining. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $3,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $27,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $165,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
N. 33rd St. - W. Vliet St. to W. Cherry St. (SM495110009): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $93,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

W. Appleton Ave. (south side) - W. Glendale Ave. to W. Hampton Ave. (SM495110008): Sanitary sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $112,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
W. Capitol Dr. - W. Grantosa Dr. to Grantosa Creek (SM495110010): Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $22,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $64,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.
S. 6th St. - W. Greenfield Ave. to W. Scott St. (SM495110005): Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

Bridge Indirect and Administration (BR100110101): (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $125,000). The total estimated cost for this project is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
