TITLE:

Resolution authorizing the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of a vehicle and payment of the related fuel and maintenance costs for a year from the United States Marshal’s Office.

 

BODY:

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

 

Whereas, The United State’s Marshal’s Office has offered to donate a vehicle and pay the related expenses for a year to support  the Organized Crime Unit’s work on the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of a vehicle and payment of fuel and maintenance for the vehicle from the United State’s Marshal’s Office, in accordance with established City policies and procedures for acceptance of contributions.
