This resolution authorizes the settlement of the lawsuit of General Casualty Insurance Co., et al. plaintiffs v. City of Milwaukee, defendant, Case No. 08-CV-013463 in the amount of $12,000.00.

Whereas, The plaintiff filed a lawsuit alleging damages as a result of an incident occurring on November 5, 2008 in the area of 3909 W. Bluemound Road in the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this claim; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and are hereby authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $12,000.00, payable to the Client Trust Account of Ratzel & Associates, S.C., in full and final settlement of this claim, upon receipt of a release of claim, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Damage and Claims Fund, Account No. 636505 0001 1490 2631 S118-2010.
