Whereas, The Project Agreement for the installation of traffic signal improvements under the 2010 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) was approved by the Common Council under File Number 040020; and

Whereas, The HSIP is intended to reduce the number and severity of vehicle and pedestrian crashes; and

Whereas, The intersection of South Cesar Chavez Drive and West Mineral Street meets federal warrants for signalization, and the installation of a new traffic control signal will provide a safer exchange of right-of-way at the intersection; and
