Title

Resolution relating to the membership of the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee.

Analysis

This resolution increases the total number of Granville-Havenwoods Advisory committee members from six to nine, and makes business representatives eligible to serve as committee members.

Body

Whereas, On October 16, 2012, the Common Council adopted File Number 120503, a resolution creating Business Improvement District No. 48 (Granville), the boundaries of which are currently W. County Line Rd., Good Hope Rd., N. 60th St. and N. 95th St.; and

Whereas, On April 18, 2017, the Common Council adopted File Number 161759, creating the Granville Development Advisory Committee to aid the development of the neighborhood; and

Whereas, On May 21^st, 2024, the Common Council adopted File Number 231942, creating the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee; and

Whereas, Increasing the size of the Committee and allowing business representatives to serve as committee members will benefit the Committee and its mission; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee shall consist of five residents,  property owners, business owners, or business representatives within Granville and four residents, property owners, business owners, or business representatives within Havenwoods, all of whom shall be nominated by the local Common Council member and approved by the Common Council.
