Analysis
This resolution approves a contract extension between the Milwaukee Fire Department, Local 215 and Dr. Robert Adlam for consultation services. The doctor will attend weekly “sick call” meetings to provide medical consultation and services to employees of the Fire Department and members of Local 215 on extended injury, provide medical consultation and services in conjunction with the “return to work” program, respond to large alarms to provide medical treatment to Fire Department and Local 215 members at the scene and assist with other similar projects at the request of the Chief of the Fire Department.

Whereas, Common Council File 090584, adopted July 28, 2009, authorized the Milwaukee Fire Department to retain the professional services of Dr. Robert Adlam as a consultant from August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Fire Department and the Local 215, Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Association, desire to retain the services of Dr. Robert Adlam; and

Whereas, The agreement operates from August 1, 2010 to July 31, 2011; and

Whereas, The scope of work contains provisions such as Dr. Adlam attending weekly “sick call” meetings to provide medical consultation and services to employees of the Fire Department and members of Local 215 on extended injury, providing medical consultation and services in conjunction with the “return to work” program, responding to large alarms to provide medical treatment to Fire Department and Local 215 members at the scene, and assisting with other similar projects at the request of the Chief of the Fire Department; now, therefore, be it
