Substitute resolution approving an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County relating to cable television coverage of County Board meetings.
Analysis
This resolution approves an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County relating to cable television coverage of County Board meetings and directs the proper City officers to execute the Agreement. Under the Agreement, Milwaukee County will provide the staff to operate the cameras and other video production equipment currently at its site after initial training by TV25 staff and agrees to abide by all of the provisions adopted in the City’s Municipal Programming guidelines. In addition, Milwaukee County will be responsible for replacing any outdated or broken equipment at its own discretion and expense and for all duplication and distribution of video files.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee operates a cable channel TV25; and
Whereas, The County of Milwaukee desires to have access to TV25 for the transmission of County Board meetings; and
Whereas, The parties have agreed to enter into the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement attached to this file that shall terminate 5 years from the date of the last approval required; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and County of Milwaukee relative to cable television services attached to this file; and, so be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs the proper City officers to execute the Agreement.
