Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2010 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

 

Department of Administration

Fire Department

Health Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 090457 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective June 15, 2010):

 

Under Salary Grade 12, add the footnote designation “4/” after the title “Environmental Sustainability Director” and add footnote “4/” to read as follows: ‘Recruitment is authorized up to a maximum rate of 76% of the range associated with Salary Grade 12."

 

Part 2. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 090457 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 13- June 13, 2010):

 

Under Salary Grade 006, delete the title “Lead Grant Monitor.”

 

Under Salary Grade 007, add the title “Lead Grant Manager.”

 

Part 3. Section 21 of ordinance File Number 090457 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2007- December 31, 2006):

 

Under Pay Range 858 delete the rates of pay and substitute therefor the following:

Part 8. Section 21 of ordinance File Number 090457 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2010-December 27, 2009):

 

The biweekly rates of pay for Pay Range 858 that became effective Pay Period 14, 2009, shall remain in effect from Pay Period 1, 2010 (December 27, 2009) through Pay Period 26, 2011. There shall be no pay step advancement from Pay Period 1, 2010, through Pay Period 26, 2011.

Part 9.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2007 (December 31, 2006).

 

The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2008 (December 30, 2007).

 

The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2008 (June 29, 2008).

 

The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2009 (December 28, 2008).

 

The provisions of Part 7 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2009 (June 28, 2009).

 

The provisions of Part 8 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2010 (December 27, 2009).

 

The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and in effect from and after Pay Period 13 (June 13, 2010).

 

The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and in effect from and after June 15, 2010.

 

Part 11.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
