Title

Resolution requiring signage at American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funded infrastructure projects.

Analysis

This resolution requires that where there is an infrastructure project funded partially or totally by the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the Department of Public Works shall erect signs alerting the public of the nature of the funding within 100 feet of the project limits of the project. 

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has obtained funds for various infrastructure projects from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus dollars and is presently working on several construction projects using these stimulus dollars, and the Common Council wishes for the source of the funding for these projects to be known to the general public; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that where there is an infrastructure project partially or totally funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the Department of Public Works shall erect signs alerting the public of the nature of the funding within 100 feet of the project limits of the project.
