(Wauwatosa, WI) the contract for electrical work at the Westlawn Gardens Phase 2 site. Mr. Jones noted that Hurt Electric has performed very satisfactorily for HACM in similar work in the past. He also stated that the bid came in about $90,000 below the estimated budget amount. The bid was vetted to the scope of work to make sure that all the work was included in the bid amount, and it was found to be sufficient. Hurt Electric is a certified Minority Business Enterprise with the State of Wisconsin and has not identified a need to subcontract or hire at this time.	Pass	3:0

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58122 during the period January 26, 2024 through February 23, 2024 for Electrical for Single-Family Market-Rate Townhomes Phase 5C-1 at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, two (2) sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 (CST) on February 23, 2024; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on February 23, 2024, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Hurt Electric Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $317,000.00; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Hurt Electric Inc. for Electrical for Single-Family Market-Rate Townhomes Phase 5C-1 at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the State of Wisconsin American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Housing Authority Non-Federal sources; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any change orders including the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Commissioners of the Housing Authority; and, be it
