Title
Substitute resolution relating to an appeal from Peter and Christine Geiger for property damage.
Body
Whereas, Members of the Judiciary and Legislation Committee have reviewed the records for this claim in the amount of $921.15 related to damage sustained to a private vehicle; and
Whereas, The claimant, Peter Geiger, submitted two additional estimates to repair damage to his vehicle, of which the estimate for $921.15 was the lowest; and
Whereas, based on this review and testimony at the Committee hearing, members of the Committee recommend the claimant be reimbursed $921.15 in payment of this claim; and
Whereas, The claimant will be paid via a two-party check, made out to himself as well as Authentic Automotive as required by the Committee; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $921.15 payable to Peter Geiger and Authentic Automotive, 1350 W. Armann Way, Oak Creek WI 53154, to reimburse for the loss; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident.
