Analysis

This motion denies the food dealer license application of Fozia Sajid for the premises 1412 N. 27th Street ("Moeen's Food Mart ").

Body

Fozia Sajid applied for a food dealer license from the City of Milwaukee on February 26, 2010; and

 

Whereas, The Health Department received an objection from Ald. Robert Bauman to a food dealer license for Fozia Sajid for the premises 1412 N. 27th Street doing business as "Moeen's Food Mart" in the 4th Aldermanic District; and

 

The Common Council's Licenses Committee held an evidentiary hearing on the application on May 10, 2010; and

 

The applicant, Fozia Sajid, did not appear at the hearing despite being provided timely notice of the hearing date; and

 

The Committee received a concentration map of convenience stores within a one-square-mile area of 1412 N. 27th Street; now, therefore,

 

It is moved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the food dealer license application of Fozia Sajid for the premises 1412 N. 27th Street in the 4th Aldermanic District ("Moeen's Food Mart ") be denied.
