Title
Resolution authorizing a sidewalk replacement project at scattered sites in the City of Milwaukee.
Analysis
To provide the necessary authority for sidewalk repairs at scattered sites in the City of Milwaukee (ST230100137).
Body
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and
Whereas, Funds have been encumbered and thus set aside for the proposed public improvement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to do the above described sidewalk replacement work and the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $200,000.00 from Account No. 0333-ST230100000 and $75,000.00 from Account No. 0330-ST230100000, which is available for sub-accounts; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City Departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting properties, and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
