Resolution authorizing preliminary engineering for scattered site sidewalk replacement projects in various aldermanic districts.
Analysis
To provide the necessary authority for preliminary engineering of scattered site sidewalk repairs in various aldermanic districts.
Body
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and
Whereas, It is proposed that sidewalk replacement work be done during the 2011 construction season in various Aldermanic Districts, ST230110139; and
Whereas, Funds have been encumbered and thus set aside for the proposed public improvement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to do preliminary engineering for sidewalk replacement work and the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $30,000.00 from Account No. 0333 - ST230100000, which is available for sub-accounts.
