Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $35,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,145,000.
Body
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

11th Aldermanic District

S. 48th St. - W. Forest Home Ave. to W. Oklahoma Ave. (ST211180218) Paving the roadway with asphalt. Laying a concrete curb and gutter. Laying concrete sidewalk. Doing all the necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $10,000, additional funding). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $250,000. These funds are to close out the project.

12th Aldermanic District

S. 14th St. - W. Becher St. to W. Forest Home Ave. (ST211200133) Concrete pavement reconstruction, replace all curb and gutter, replace sidewalk and driveway approaches where necessary, sodding (3’ width of tree border area), roadway narrowing, and grading. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $25,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $895,000. These funds are to close out the project.
