Body
Whereas, The procurement of Traffic Signal Central Software at 780 Intersections Citywide was approved and funded under the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality program; and
Whereas, The State Municipal Agreement for the project was approved under Common Council File Number 220290; and
Whereas, The State cannot proceed with any project cost overruns or changes in scope of more than 5% without prior Department of Public Works approval; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee at the next scheduled meeting of any such project cost overruns or changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100% liable for any such project cost overruns or changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be liable for any costs incurred by the State should the City decide to withdraw from the project; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works and the Comptroller are authorized to fund and complete procurement of Traffic Signal Central Software at 780 Intersections Citywide under a Congestion Mitigation Air Quality project based on the attached State Municipal Agreement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to create within the Capital Grant and Aid Projects Fund the appropriate Project Grant Chartfield Value for this project; and transfer to these accounts the amount required under the agreement and City accounting policy, but not to exceed a ten percent increase of the total amounts reserved for the grantor's share and local share or $5,000, whichever is greater as follows:
