Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of the 2024 HIV Partner Services Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Analysis
Resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept, and fund the HIV Partner Services grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in the amount of $52,441 with a City share of $0 and a grantor share of $51,244. The funding will provide testing, patient education, and focused disease intervention activities.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to provide testing, patient education, and focused disease intervention activities; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant program from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 will cost $51,244 comprised of $51,244, or 100%, grantor share and $0, or 0%, City share; now, therefore, be it;
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, that the Commissioner of Health or their designee is authorized to execute the grant agreement for these funds; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2024 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled 2024 HIV Partner Services:
