Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of South Lincoln Memorial Drive from Jones Street to Carferry Drive. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 100 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $3,201,850 with a City share of $861,170 and a grantor share of $2,340,680. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $275,000 with an estimated City share of $275,000 and a grantor share of $0. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of South Lincoln Memorial Drive from Jones Street to Carferry Drive with Federal and State aid under the National Highway Freight Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and
