Title

Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $50,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,350,000.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable.  After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council.  The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $50,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,350,000.

Body

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

 

2nd Aldermanic District

 

W. Capitol Dr. (Southside) - N. 60th St. to N. 76th St. (WT410230619) File Number 211861: Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0. Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $50,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,350,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
