Title

Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and expend up to $100,000 in contributions from the various individuals for staff recognition & support needs for Milwaukee Health Department employees. Donated and contributed funding will be used for awards, incentives, and other means of recognizing and supporting the work of Health Department employees, as allowed and directed by contributors.
Body
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City, and

Whereas, several individuals have delivered contributions of funds to the City expressly for the purpose of providing awards, incentives, and recognitions for MHD staff; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department is authorized to accept up to $100,000 in contributions from various individuals and organizations for staff recognition, awards, and incentives for Milwaukee Health Department employees; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon the receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is directed to establish a special purpose account within the Health Department budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-0001-D001-006300, and the estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, account number 0001-2110-0001-009850 to the Health Department Special Account 0001-3810-DXXX-006300, and the Health Department Estimated Revenue Account 0001-3810-0001-0098...
