Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File Number 230299, accepting and funding the 2023-24 ReCAST grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of the grant is providing evidence-based violence prevention and community youth engagement programs to assist high-risk youth and families and promote resilience and equity.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 203299 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2023-24 ReCAST grant for the purpose of providing evidence-based violence prevention and community youth engagement programs; and
Whereas, the position authority for this program is increased by one position; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2023 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 220651, should be amended as follows:
