Body

Whereas, Common Council File Number 211939 allocated an additional $10,000,000 in ARPA funding to the street lighting project at which time the Department of Public Works added additional failing circuits to the program; and

Whereas, Common Council File Number 220707 reduced the project budget by $500,000 and therefore reduced the number of planned circuits; and

Whereas, bid solicitations for the circuit improvement portion of the project have not returned favorable bids to the City; and

Whereas, the Department of Public Works has proposed redirecting the program funds to pay for the installation of LED fixtures throughout the upgraded circuits of the City, the purchase of circuit replacement materials, and circuit replacement design work, as more specifically set forth in the attached memorandum; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the program description of the ARPA-funded street lighting circuit reliability improvement project is amended as reflected in the attached memorandum.
