Whereas, the City and the LAW FIRM entered into a contract to provide legal services for the City in representing Milwaukee police department officers Carl Buschmann, James DeValkenaere, and Robert Simon in the federal court action entitled Sam Hadaway v. City of Milwaukee, et al., Case No: 19-cv-01106 (E.D. Wis), and

Whereas, the City is asking to get authority for additional funds in the amount of $120,000.00 to pay outside counsel. This matter was previously heard and approved of in closed session by the Judiciary and Legislative Committee.  We request that this matter be assigned for a hearing in closed session before the Finance and Personnel Committee to be followed by an open session in order to take action.
