Analysis

Current code provisions specify that applicants for in rem judgement vacation must pay the administrative costs of the city attorney’s office, clerk’s office, treasurer’s office, department of city development, health department and water works. This ordinance adds the department of neighborhood services to the list and provides that all administrative costs incurred by other city departments must also be paid.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 304-50-4-d-0 of the code is amended to read:

 

304-50. Vacation of In Rem Judgment.

4. WRITTEN REQUEST

d. Along with the written request to the city treasurer, the applicant shall pay to the city treasurer in cash or by cashier’s check deposits [[of]] >>all<< administrative costs [[of the:]] >>incurred by, but not limited to, the following:<<

 

Part 2. Section 304-50-4-d-5 and 6 is renumbered 304-50-4-d-6 and 7.

 

Part 3. Section 304-50-4-d-5 of the code is created to read:

 

d-5. Department of neighborhood services.
