Minutes note: Fernando Aniban, HACM’s Assistant Secretary, explained that the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee approached HACM regarding the vacant lot at 1519 North 13th Street as a potential parking lot for a new Mental Health Facility. A title search was done and finding no restrictions and with HACM having no intention to develop the lot in future, HACM would like to sell the lot to the City for $1. WHEREAS, the property owned located at 1519 North 13th Street is currently vacant and the Housing Authority has no intention of developing the vacant lot in the future; and

 

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) has determined that the vacant has no lien or restriction as to its disposition; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Milwaukee through the Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Milwaukee (RACM) had requested the Housing Authority to sale mention vacant lot to the City of Milwaukee or its assignee for purposes of developing it into a parking space to support the current development being undertaken by the City and County in the said location; and

 

WHEREAS, the Secretary-Executive Director recommends to support and agree to the request made by RACM and dispose the vacant lot in the amount of $1 to the City of Milwaukee or its assignee; and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the sale of the vacant lot located at 1519 N. St. be approved; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director is hereby authorized to take any and all actions necessary to complete the sale of this property.
