Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2023 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
City Attorney, Library, Department of Public Works (Operations Division, Transportation Fund, Water Works)
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2023 - December 25, 2022):
Under “Department of Public Works, Operations Division, Administration Section”, add one position of “Human Resources Representative”.
Under “Sanitation Section, Field Operations”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV”.
Under “Water Works, Business Organization, Administration”, delete one position of “Human Resources Assistant” and add one position of “Human Resources Representative”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2023 - May 28, 2023):
Under “Library, Central Library Decision Unit, Education & Outreach Services Section”, add three positions of “Library Connected Learning Specialist”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 13, 2023 - June 11, 2023):
Under “City Attorney, Administrative Division”, delete four positions of “Legal Office Assistant”, add four positions of “Legal Office Assistant 2”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I’, add one position of “Business Services Specialist”, delete two positions of “Administrative Specialist - Senior”, and add two positions of “Legal Administrative Specialist - Senior”
Under “Department of Public Works - Transportation Fund, Parking Operations and Maintenance Decision Unit, Parking Administration/Structures/Meters”, delete one position of “Accountant III”, add one position of “Transportation Accountant”, delete one position of “Accounting Assistant III”, and add one position of “Transportation Accounting Assistant”.
Under “Parking Enforcement/Information Desk”, delete two positions of “Parking Enforcement Assistant Manager”, add one position of “Parking Enforcement Operations Manager”, add one position of “Parking Enforcement Communications Manager”, delete five positions of “Communications Assistant IV”, add five positions of “Communications Assistant Lead”, delete eight positions of “Communication Assistant III”, add eight positions of “Communication Assistant - Senior”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV”, and add one position of “Parking Administrative Services Coordinator”.
Under “Tow Lot”, delete one position of “Tow Lot Assistant IV and add one position of “Tow Lot Assistant Lead”.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2023 (December 25, 2022).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2023 (May 28, 2023).
Part 7. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 13, 2023 (June 11, 2023).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 8. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
