| HELD TO CALL OF THE CHAIR
Minutes note: Carly Hagerty, Nicole Grace, Jeff Zagar, John Enos were present virtually.
Jim Cooney, David Hanky were present in the room.
Ald. Coggs said that during the budget hearings, they received a lot of complaints from business owners and developers about the licensing process and the disconnection among the departments. She added that with that in mind, the Common Council adopted the file 221235 Resolution directing the Department of Neighborhood Services, License Division, Health Department, and Department of Administration - Information Technology Management Division to collaborate on streamlining the permit and approval process.
Mr. Cooney gave an presentation update which has been added to the file.
Ald. Coggs asked if the business owners and developers have been contacted or if a survey has been conducted.
Mr. Cooney said that they have reached out to some individually and that they have seen the comments from the public.
Ald. Coggs recommended to conduct a survey while working on the process.
Ald. Brostoff asked if he has talked to other departments about best practices because some can be duplicated in other areas to break those barriers and to encourage improvement.
Ald. Coggs asked if a deadline is available.
David A. Hanky said that there will be incremental improvements throughout the year.
Ald. Chambers moved to hold the file to the call of the chair for updates. There were no objections. (Prevailed 5-0)
